WHAT
The Walk for Rumbek event is a walkathon aimed at raising much needed funds to support the Mary Ward Primary Health Care Centre’s Under 5 Health and Nutrition Support Project in South Sudan.
WHY
The South Sudan morbidity rate for deaths under 5 years old is heartbreaking. Our aim is to raise funds in order to support children in this area grow past the age of 5 years, which often increases their chances of survival into adulthood. The funds will aid: Food, Medicine, Vaccines, Baby Formula and Qualified Nurses to improve the general health and nutritional well-being of approximately 150 children under the age of 5 years and their guardians/caregivers at the local community of Maker Kuei in South Sudan.
